Welcome to Vortex Crafts. My name is Cheryl-lee.
Ever since I was a child, I had a love for creating things with my hands. Adult life sometimes leave you with little time to do the things you really want to though. Having a 9 to 5 job might give you some loose change to buy art supplies, but it leaves you with virtually no time to do it.
A couple of years ago, I loosened the reigns on my inner child, and unleashed my creativity to make some craft jewelry and other trinkets by hand in my living-room. Soon enough, it was an ornament here, and some knick-knacks there, and before you know it you’ve run out of space all the way to the kitchen. Naturally, we are at the point now where a dedicated area seems mandatory, so we are renovating the biggest room in the house (of course), where I can do my artsy stuff to my heart’s content.
With a million things that go wrong in a normal work day, it is really satisfying to come home and create something unique, just the way you want it. Thanks to my husband’s unnatural patience and continued support, I manage to keep my head on straight. It totally makes up for the infuriating suggestions I have to endure, and there is no complaint about the amount of time I spend doing what I love either.
The 9 to 5 might pay bills, but doing crafts keep you from running for the hills.
The purpose of this site
Due to the popularity of resin moldings among friends, I thought that an online gallery would be a nice way to show other interested parties my latest creations. This idea expanded into becoming a full-fledged online craft shop in no time at all. There are countless interesting molding techniques, and about as many variations, designs and patterns, to satisfy everybody’s preference, whether simple and sweet or bold to behold.
If you can’t find something you like under the existing creations, get in touch with me via the contact page and share your vision. Custom request for yourself or personalized gifts for your friends, are always welcome. There is no gift as pleasant to receive as the one that is unique, from which love emanates due to the thought that went into it.
As time goes on, more items will be added to the lineup. Craft supplies as well as various other useful products might be available in the not too distant future. Various options for expansion of this website is being considered at the moment. Fortunately, my husband is quite adept at building websites, so the sky is the limit.
